You'd be better to buy a very thick silver popcorn necklace for a lot less. Also remember that there is no such thing as "white" gold. They dip the yellow gold in rhodium to give it a white look. However, after wear you have to take the white gold and pay to get it dipped. That's why you should stick with silver for a necklace.
