It's not too shiny. More of a matte finish, so classy looking. It was a gift for a daughter, and she is happy with it.
The included chain is also of good quality, and feels good.
The only negative is that at checkout I clicked that it was a gift and added a line to print. Well, they just included a page in the packing with a color print and the message. Kind of cheesy. The could have printed a card and put that in the jewelry box instead.
