(More customer reviews)I was not happy with this chain; partly my fault as I didn't double-check the METRIC measurement against the English--I don't do metric. So, let me say this in English. The two-point-one millimeter--about two thousandths of a yard--refers to the width of the chain. This is one skinny chain.
To me, this chain doesn't go with the crucifix pendant, not for a man at least. The pendant is rather masculine being relatively large, plain and "boxy." The necklace, OTOH, is rather feminine in appearance. It's too delicate to want to wear to bed, and the 24 inch length is too short to easily slip over the head, which brings me to the small lobster-claw clasp. The clasp is most appropriate for such a delicate chain, making it much to small for masculine hands (and I have larger-than-average hands.
Fortunately, gold chains are quite fungible, and the merchant I bought the replacement chain from was more than willing to give me a pittance for this delicate item.
I'm sure women will love this necklace, it's beautiful...but men shouldn't buy it for themselves.
