This is my sister-in-law's school color and her son's birthstone, so I thought it would make a nice Christmas gift. My only complaint is that the chain is very delicate and you can't just slip it out and replace it with a sturdier one. Overall the necklace is a bit fancy, so probably not an everyday item (especially with a toddler at home).
