(More customer reviews)This is a light, relatively dainty, elegant chain. The photograph makes it look much bigger than it is. Fortunately, I had researched the size and knew what I was getting, so it didn't come as a surprise. Compared with Saraf, which offers a similar chain, this price was about $15-20 less expensive, so I think it was a good deal. No other vendor came close to matching the sales price ($156).
I own a good-quality 1 mm white gold chain that was fine, except that it sort of disappeared from view against my fair skin. I wanted a chain delicate enough to wear with smallish (not super small) silver pendants but which would be clearly visible, and I refuse to buy gold chains with anything other than a lobster clasp, having snapped several conventional clasp models in the past. On the other end, I needed the chain to have a small sturdy loop so that I could thread it through smaller pendant loops. This chain fits the bill perfectly!
This small chain sparkles like no tomorrow. It is light, well made, and a pleasure to wear. I highly recommend this chain for people who want a light, thin chain and plan to wear a pendant on it.
For a chain to wear alone without a pendant, I recommend at least 4-5 mm.
